Pune, November 21, 2025: A citizens’ protest titled RamNadi Satyagraha will begin on Friday, November 28, demanding immediate action from the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) to stop the discharge of untreated sewage into Ram Nadi. Residents will stage the protest inside the river itself, at the spot where nearly 70% of the sewage is reportedly released — a location repeatedly highlighted to authorities without any corrective measures.

Despite multiple complaints, site visits, and clear orders from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and the Divisional Commissioner, the flow of untreated sewage continues unabated.
