The CPI (Maoist) alleged that top leader Madivi Hidma, his wife Raje and others were captured unarmed in Vijayawada and later killed in a fake encounter by Andhra Pradesh police. The party called for a nation-wide bandh on November 23.

Kothagudem: The top Maoist Commander Madivi Hidma , his wife Raje and their associates were captured unarmed and killed in a fake encounter by Andhra Pradesh police, alleged the CPI (Maoist) party Central Committee spokesperson Abhay.

In a statement released to the media on Friday, he said that Hidma, along with his wife and others, visited Vijayawada for medical treatment at a local hospital. Some traitors leaked his whereabouts to police, and on November 15 took Hidma and others into custody at the hospital.
