Bengaluru: A police constable has been taken into custody for involvement in the heist in the city on Wednesday, when miscreants posing as Tax Department officials intercepted a vehicle of the Cash Management Services (CMS) and made away with Rs 7.11 crore meant to replenish ATMs.
The police team probing the case has found the detained constable Annappa Naik, who is posted at the Govindapura Police Station, to be the mastermind of the heist.
Naik, who was posted in various police stations, is reported to have trained the miscreants to conduct the robbery.
