Yankees GM Brian Cashman last week said that the team will be aggressive with its approach this offseason. The Yanks already made their first move, securing veteran outfielder Trent Grisham after he accepted the club’s $22.025 million qualifying offer.
Many around the league believe that bringing back Grisham means the Yankees have moved on from Cody Bellinger, who is one of the most sought-after outfielders in free agency. But Cashman made it clear that the door is still open. He also confirmed that he has spoken to agent Scott Boras, who represents both Bellinger and other top names in the market, including Kyle Tucker, who is also on New York’s radar.
