Bengaluru’s roads may feel crowded, chaotic and always buzzing, but for many vehicle owners the real headache sits in the form of pending traffic fines. This week, the State Government reopened a window that city residents know well.
The fifty percent traffic fine discount, a scheme that once drew massive queues at police stations and online portals, has been brought back. The state has issued an official order, giving vehicle owners a chance to clear their long pending dues at half the amount.
What the New Order Says
The announcement comes through an order issued by Rangappa Karigar, the Under Secretary of the State Transport Department. The government has approved reintroducing the fifty percent fine exemption across all traffic violation categories except those barred by court ruling
