A Tejas light combat aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed during a flying demonstration at the Dubai Air Show on Friday, killing the pilot and sending a plume of black smoke over the exhibition grounds.
The crash occurred around 2:10 pm local time as the aircraft was performing an aerial manoeuvre for spectators. An eyewitness told AFP that the jet executed a low roll before plunging to the ground and bursting into flames approximately 1.6 kilometres from the main show area.
