Colleen Hoover says the legal saga involving “It Ends With Us” stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has been tough for her to process.
Hoover is the author of the 2016 book that was the basis for the 2024 film of the same name. The movie has been tainted with controversy since late last year, when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, in which she accuses him of sexual harassment on the set, as well as creating a smear campaign against her. Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively and a defamation suit he filed against The New York Times was dismissed in June.
The legal issues have cast a shadow over the movie, while Hoover told Elle magazine in a Nov. 20 article that the matter is “unfortunate” and “disappointing.”
