WOODWARD, Iowa —

Firefighters in Dallas County are responding to a house fire near Woodward, just south of the High Trestle Trail Bridge.

The house is located on 145th Lane. A KCCI crew arrived at the scene just before 6 a.m. Friday. It appears much of the house is charred, but the extent of the damage is unclear.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office told KCCI that first responders were responding to a residential fire, but authorities could not confirm if there are any injuries or what time the fire started.
