(Pierre, SD) — The state is continuing to offer incentives to dairies, as the industry struggles to find workers. The Governor’s Office of Economic Development says it’s approved 17-million dollars of aid for this month for the dairy sector. Dairy farmers say the labor shortage is a big problem, even though South Dakota’s unemployment is the lowest in the nation at one-point-nine percent.
