One person is dead after a shooting inside St. Louis' busy Lambert International Airport Friday morning, NBC 5 affiliate KDSK in St. Louis reported .

KDSK, citing St. Louis County Police, said the shooting happened about 1 a.m. in Terminal 1 and involved Lambert Airport Police, According to the report, a suspect was shot and later died.

Just before 4 a.m., the airport posted on X that MetroLink T1 Station at the airport was closed. The light rail system, which travels throughout the city and to and from the airport, said it was dropping off passengers at the T2 station, with shuttles operating.
