As the world celebrates World Television Day on November 21, actor Ssudeep Sahir takes a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recalling the joy and simplicity of television’s golden era and how, even in today’s OTT-driven world, the medium continues to hold a special place in people’s hearts.

“It takes me back to the days of Ye Jo Hai Zindagi on Friday evenings,” Ssudeep smiles. “ For me and my sister, it wasn’t just a show, it was an event. We’d finish our homework early, grab our spots in front of the TV, and just be ready to laugh. Back then, every show had its own special day, Karamchand, Indradhanush, Wagle Ki Duniya. It felt like our week was built around those TV moments. There was something so simple and happy about it, all of us gathered around that one Doordarshan channel.”
