James Logan volleyball player Leann Jung is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Nov. 10-15. In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jung finished with 46.6% of the vote. Burlingame cross country runner Stella Newman took second at 21.02%.

Congrats to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Jung, Logan’s senior captain, had 37 assists, nine digs, two kills and an ace in the Colts’ NorCal Division I first-round win over Carondelet. In a quarterfinal win over Del Oro, she had 50 assists, nine digs, six kills and an ace. In a semis win over Buchanan, Jung dished 44 assists and added 11 digs, five kills and one more ace.
