Monty Don, the much-loved presenter of Gardeners' World, has been showered with support following his announcement of some "good news."

The gardening expert took to social media to share an exciting update about his professional life.

In a video, Monty, with a broad smile on his face, shared: "Hello, I've got some good news, because next spring, this book will be published.

"It's taken two years to write. It's the culmination of visiting dozens of gardens from the north of Scotland to the tip of Cornwall and celebrating the very best of British gardens with some of the most wonderful in the world.

"And also it's got fabulous pictures by my friend Derry Moore. And on top of that, also next spring, I shall be going around the country talking about the gardens, about stories behind them,
