Dylan Strome was in the middle of the Washington Capitals' eventual win over the Montreal Canadiens, during the first intermission... when his wife Tayler gave birth to their third daughter, Sutton. She had gone into labor a couple of hours before puck drop, so Strome couldn't get there in time.

And Strome emotionally revealed all of that after the win, telling reporters, "Really proud of her. It's tough, and you obviously want to be there for the birth of your children and [I] didn't know it was coming this soon, but can't wait to go see her."

Strome had three assists in the contest, so maybe he was extra motivated. But this goes beyond hockey -- it's tough to miss a moment like that, so you could tell he was going through all kinds of emotions as he revealed the news, including praising his "warrior of a wife."

Congrats to the Strome family!
