Boston's top police official will not be subject to discipline by the state's oversight agency after he was accused of inappropriate behavior in the Karen Read case, according to a letter written by leadership at the Massachusetts Police Officer Standards and Training - or POST - Commission.
Last month, attorney Alan Jackson accused Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox of lying about his knowledge concerning a witness in the case - former Boston Police Officer Kelly Dever. The letter was addressed to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and the POST Commission.
