CLEVELAND, Ohio – Prime Food Processing Inc. has recalled dessert buns because of an undeclared milk allergen, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The Brooklyn, New York, company has recalled 2,243 cases of two dessert bun varieties because the packaging does not declare milk in the allergen statement as required by the FDA. The milk in the products is derived from unsalted butter listed in the ingredients.
The recalled products were distributed to Asian grocery stores between April 2 and Nov. 14 in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, P
