GRANITEVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man has been arrested after he was accused of assaulting and kidnapping his friend, according to authorities.

George Williams, 26, was arrested Thursday after an incident at the Kalmia Apartment complex.

According to the incident report, Williams and his friend got into an argument, leading to Williams striking the victim in the face.

Richmond County deputies have arrested a man who was wanted for aggravated assault.

The victim told deputies Williams would not let her call law enforcement or exited the residence, according to the report.
