The Great British Bake Off has unveiled its cast for the upcoming New Year special, with several fan-favourites set to return. As the line-up was confirmed, fans couldn't contain their excitement.

The beloved Channel 4 series will return next month with a pair of specials over the festive season, the first of which sees several stars from iconic sitcom Peep Show try their hand at baking

The second special is a much more traditional affair, with The Great New Year's Bake Off seeing several former contestants - eight to be precise - return to the iconic tent for another round.

Taking part in the special will be Selasi Gbormittah and Val Stones, both of whom appeared in the seventh season. The pair will be joined by Briony Williams and Rahul Mandal, who are both from season nine.
