Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash Blocks I-495 In Andover, Causing Major Delays

Massachusetts State Police say a tractor-trailer rolled over on I-495 North on Friday morning, Nov. 21, causing major traffic delays for drivers. 

The wreck happened near Exit 97 in Andover around 6:30 a.m. The truck was hauling gravel when it crashed, spilling its load across the interstate. 

Police shut down I-495 North as they cleaned and investigated the scene. Crews worked quickly, but the traffic stretched on for miles. 

Troopers began reopening lanes around 7 a.m. 

The cause of the crash is still under review.
