There comes a time in most every Coloradan’s life when holiday fun evolves from Santa-themed bar hopping to 11 a.m. cookie crawls. Or from downing tequila shots at open mic nights in downtown Denver to sipping hot chocolate at Christmas carol karaoke next to a fire pit in a Longmont park.

It can happen gently, gradually — or, other times, all at once — but it (hopefully, for the sake of one’s liver) happens to us all, somewhere between one last major hangover and a first real appreciation for municipal programming.
