Chief Minister Pema Khandu, speaking to the media on the sidelines of the 41st Nyishi Elite Society (NES) Conference at Koloriang, said that the state government will soon frame the rules under the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act (APFRA).
He acknowledged that the six-month deadline set by the High Court has already passed, but assured that the committee tasked with drafting the rules is working on it.
Khandu emphasised that the Act “will apply equally to all religions and will not affect or target any particular community,” adding that its sole purpose is “to safeguard the vulnerable Indigenous population of Arunachal Pradesh.”
