GRANTS PASS, Ore. — After a bizarre burglary attempt in the 200 block of West Park Street, Grants Pass, yesterday, the naked suspect fled the scene, but was found in a neighbor’s hedge, where he was arrested.

Grants Pass police responded to a report that an unknown male in his 40s had broken a window and was crawling into the residence at approximately 2:38 AM. The naked man had tattoos and was saying “crazy stuff about saving them from Hermes and goddesses.” He was later identified as 39-year-old Patrick Hermes, of Merlin.

On arrival, Grants Pass Police Officers found the suspect had fled the residence with a stolen blanket, but the adult victim and two children were unharmed. The suspect, who initially refused to identify himself, was found hiding in the hedge of a neighboring yard fol
