Dolly Parton is speaking out on her ongoing “health challenges” after missing her induction into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ Hall of Fame this week.
The country music legend, 79, was set to be honoured by the organization this week for her role in creating and influencing Dollywood Parks & Resorts , but had to bow out after her doctors advised her that she shouldn’t travel.
“I sure wish I could be with you in person today, but you probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while,” Parton said in a video shared to Instagram . “I’m truly sorry I can’t be there, but I sure wanted to take the chance to say thank you for this incredible honour.”
