The price of mailing packages at your local post office is about to go up.
The USPS announced recently that shipping service prices will go up starting next year as a way to keep financially afloat.
The news of the shipping increase comes the same day as the service’s 2025 fiscal year financial reports , which showed a $2.7 billion controllable loss for 2025.
The price increases will go into effect starting Jan. 18, 2026.
