York County is inviting residents to step behind the scenes of local law enforcement as the Sheriff’s Office opens applications for its 2026 Citizens Academy. Officials announced that 25 seats are available for next year’s class, offering residents a rare opportunity to learn how the agency operates and to share ideas that could help deputies better serve the community.
The program runs from February 9 through March 30 and is designed to strengthen trust and communication between deputies and the public.
