Puttur, Nov 21: A married man who allegedly died by suicide in Edkidu of Bantwal taluk has raised concerns after his daughter filed a complaint expressing suspicion over the nature of his death.

The deceased has been identified as Harish (55), a resident of Edkidu. Based on a complaint filed by his daughter, who suspects foul play in her father’s death, a case has been registered at the Puttur Town police station.

According to police, Harish attempted suicide at home. Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Initially, an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) was registered at the Vittal police station.
