New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart hasn't cleared concussion protocol, interim head coach Mike Kafka told reporters on Friday (November 21) meaning veteran backup Jameis Winston will once again start in Sunday's (November 23) game against the Detroit Lions.
"Interim head coach Mike Kafka said QB Jaxson Dart is still in the concussion protocol and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game," the Giants wrote on their X account.
Dart sustained a concussion during his team's Week 9 road game against the Chicago Bears at the beginning of the fourth quarter on November 9 and was replaced by veteran backup Russell Wilson .
