Fans had hopes of saving the Hallmark Channel series “The Way Home,” but the fantasy drama is officially coming to an end.

“The Way Home” will end with season 4, which is set to premiere in 2026. The decision comes despite fans of the show, who call themselves Ponderers or Way Homies, petitioning for a fifth season.

“We’re asking Hallmark Media to renew The Way Home for Season 5 and to let this extraordinary journey keep unfolding,” a Change.Org petition reads. “There are rare shows that don’t just entertain us.... they heal us. The Way Home is one of them. It’s a story about love and loss, forgiveness and faith, about finding your way back to the people and places that shape who you are. It reminds us that time may move forward, but connection is timeless.”
