xTirupati: President of Droupadi Murmu offered prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Friday, the high point of her two-day spiritual visit to the temple city.

The president arrived in Tirupati on Thursday and first visited the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor before proceeding to Tirumala in the evening. She was welcomed at the hill temple by home minister Vangalapudi Anita, TTD trust board chairman BR Naidu and additional executive officer Venkaiah Chowdary.
