FAR-RIGHT activity in Scotland is rising “month on month”, an expert has said.
Earlier this month, we told how “extreme right-wing concerns” topped the referrals made to the UK’s anti-terror scheme Prevent in Scotland.
It also comes as protests outside of hotels housing asylum seekers have been held in Falkirk , Dundee , Aberdeen , and recently in Inverness , after it was announced that refugees would be housed in Cameron Barracks in the city centre.
Judith Sijstermans, lecturer in politics at the University of Aberdeen, told The National that her research found a “noticeable rise in extreme right activity in Scotland”.
She explained: “We can measure that in a couple of different ways, in terms of polling, but we can also measure that through some of the work I've been doing,
