The central leadership of the BJP has asked Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde to resolve the differences arising in Mahayuti at state-level through dialogue under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The message comes in the wake of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ’s meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday. Shinde is said to have been upset with the fact that the state BJP chief Ravindra Chavan inducted Shiv Sena local leaders into BJP from Kalyan-Dombivali Lok Sabha seat represented by Shrikant Shinde.
Sources say that with local body elections beginning on December 2, BJP is vying to consolidate its own electoral base at the grassroots by inducting local leaders across parties and that has irked alliance partner Shiv Sena.
