SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Museum is offering visitors a glimpse into Christmas celebrations from the early 1900s.
The Savannah house museum has decorated for the holidays based on historical anecdotes and documented family traditions of the Girl Scouts founder.
The home features a holiday dinner table with turkey, ham and all the trimmings. Stockings are placed on chairs alongside early 20th century toys and period-appropriate decor and greenery created a more muted holiday feel.
The museum used first-hand accounts from Juliette Gordon Low’s family to remain authentic to the historical setting.
