Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday offered his condolences to the family of the Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot who was tragically killed after a Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show.

In a post on his handle X, Gandhi wrote: “Deeply saddened by the loss of our brave IAF pilot in the Tejas crash at the Dubai Air Show. My heartfelt condolences to his family. The nation stands with them, honouring his courage and service.”

The accident took place today at the Al Maktoum International Airport as the IAF was demonstrating the capabilities of the Tejas jet. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, was killed in the crash. The identity of the pilot has not yet been disclosed.

The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to investigate
