Eight Southeast Public Health satellite offices are to close in March.
Staff made the announcement Friday in a news release. It came less than 11 months after the health unit’s creation through the merger of Belleville-based Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health, and the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville District Health Unit.

The release stated the agency is ending its leases for the offices in Trenton, Picton, Napanee, Perth, Gananoque, Kemptville, and Almonte as of March 1. Operations in Cloyne, where the health unit owns the office, will also cease on that date.
