Birmingham City are confident Paik Seung-ho will only be missed for weeks rather than months after not requiring surgery on his shoulder injury.
Paik dislocated his shoulder after landing awkwardly during a first minute aerial challenge in the defeat to Middlesbrough two weeks ago and was forced to withdraw from South Korea duty.
The midfielder underwent scans and tests on his shoulder but he wasn’t referred for surgery which is good news for Blues manager Chris Davies.
Davies said: “The medical team did a good job on the day, helping him reset. It was obviously very painful for him, but he’s had a good couple of weeks since but the next steps will be clearer in the next week.”
