The Bengals don’t have to make a decision on Joe Burrow’s status until 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
It sounds like Zac Taylor won’t reveal whether the quarterback will suit up against the Patriots until then. Following Friday’s practice, the Bengals coach was in no rush to name Sunday’s starter and said Burrow will be given the questionable designation.
“Feel comfortable waiting as long as we can with this decision,” Taylor told reporters.
Because he’s on injured reserve, the Bengals will have to activate Burrow by Saturday afternoon if they intend to play him Sunday.
Burrow has been sidelined since suffering a turf toe injury in Week 2. He underwent surgery on Sept. 19 and was expected to miss three months, but returned to practice last week well ahead of schedule. The quarterback w
