FORT WORTH, Texas — A 43-year-old man was arrested in a Fort Worth bank robbery Thursday, and police say he robbed the same bank nearly a decade ago.

Christopher McKay is accused of robbing a bank in the 8800 block of Camp Bowie West Boulevard around 10 a.m. Thursday, according to a police news release. Police said he walked into the bank, claiming he was armed with a handgun. He demanded money but wasn't successful and left the bank on foot, according to the release.

Police searched the area and found McKay, arresting him on a charge of aggravated robbery, the release said.

Police said they learned that McKay robbed the same bank location nine years ago and was sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
