SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Dee Dee, a three-year-old pit mix, is looking for a new home after being rescued from euthanization at another county shelter.

Marsha Panucci, host of Animal Outtakes and owner of Dante’s Den, and Lynn from Radenshaven presented Dee Dee during Friday’s Pet of the Week segment. Lynn rescued Dee Dee when the dog’s time was running out at the previous shelter.

“The hours were ticking for her to be euthanized, and Lynn was not going to stand for that,” Panucci said.

Dee Dee is crate-trained and prefers the company of men over women, according to her rescuers. The dog is considered suitable for families with children and other pets.
