The mansion built by Bob Simpson, the founder of XTO Energy who purchased the Texas Rangers with Ray Davis in 2010, is being auctioned off in December.

Concierge Auctions is handling the bidding, which begins Dec. 3 and closes on Dec. 18.

The 19,359-square-foot "castle estate" in the Montserrat luxury neighborhood ( formerly home to Selena Gomez , as well) was custom-built for Simpson, who sold the property in 2021, according to Tarrant County property records. The home was listed for $11.75 million, and Concierge expects the bidding to start between $4 million and $6.5 million.
