BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Shata Traders Inc is recalling its Chef Brand Milk Pan 24 cm because of potential lead contamination. The recall affects consumers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and Massachusetts.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found the product contains leachable lead, which is harmful to humans. Lead exposure can cause serious health issues, especially in children and fetuses. Even low levels of exposure can impact learning and behavior.

No illnesses have been reported so far. However, consumers who purchased the product are urged to stop using it and return it to the store for a full refund.
