Harlem rapper Max B wasted no time getting back onstage after being released from prison earlier this month. On Thursday night, the Wave God joined Brandy and Monica ‘s New York City show to perform his 2008 classic “Sexy Love” as a surprise for fans at Barclays Center.

“Welcome home, my brother,” Monica said, before Max engaged the crowd: “New York, stand up! He’s baaaaack. Where my ladies at, Barclays?” Max then walked around the stage and danced with Monica before starting to rap along to “Sexy Love.”

According to Billboard , Monica and Brandy also brought out Fabolous, Fat Joe, Ciara for “Level Up,” and Tyrese for “Sweet Lady” as special guests during Thursday’s show.

Max B was released from prison on Nov. 9 after serving 16 years for his role in a botched armed robbery
