PANOLA COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A Central Heights Middle School teacher is on leave after he was accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

According to Central Heights ISD Superintendent Justin Keeling, they put middle school teacher and coach Landon Christopher Odom, 26 of Gary, on leave within two hours after being notified on Monday while working with the Panola County Sheriff’s Office.

Odom was taken into custody on Thursday without incident, the Panola County Sheriff’s Office said.

Keeling stated that no student at the school was involved.

Investigators will be continuing to collect evidence and conduct interviews, the sheriff’s office said.

Odom is being held on a $100,000 bond, according to arrest records.
