LANCASTER — A six-hour standoff ended early Friday morning with the arrest of a Lancaster man who police say fired shots inside his home and in the direction of responding officers.
Lancaster Police were called to 2634 Little Pine Lane around 2:08 a.m. on November 21 after a 911 caller reported gunfire coming from the residence. When officers arrived, they heard additional shots from inside. According to investigators, the suspect appeared to fire toward officers, though police did not return fire.
Officers quickly established a perimeter and requested assistance from the department’s Special Response Team and Hostage Negotiator Team. Negotiations continued for several hours as the suspect remained barricaded inside.
