Fashion designer Jenna Lyons is leaving “The Real Housewives of New York City” after just two seasons on the rebooted Bravo hit .

The former J. Crew creative director, 57, confirmed Friday on Instagram that “the rumors are true” and she’s “made the difficult decision not [to] return to the show.”

Lyons said she was initially “grateful” to pivot into the “friend of” role for the upcoming 16th season, but ultimately realized it “made sense” for her to leave, knowing her “personal life [is] not really available to be filmed.”

Part of her decision, she explained, was also the fact that she’d be “the oldest and only openly gay woman on the show,” saying she feels the time is right “for a new dynamic to emerge.”
