Truist Financial Corp. has announced that Josh Derryberry as its Middle Tennessee market president.

A release does not note if Derryberry replaces an individual or if the role is new to the Charlotte-based financial company.

Derryberry, who will lead commercial banking strategy and execution, most recently served as business banking sales manager at U.S. Bank and offers more than 20 years of leadership experience at regional and national financial institutions. His resume includes a stint at Fifth Third Bank.

Derryberry holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami (Ohio) University and an MBA degree in marketing from the Miami University Farmer School of Business. He has also completed executive education at the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the Wharton School of the Univ
