Srinagar, Nov 21: In a significant counter-terror success, security forces on Friday recovered a major cache of arms and ammunition during a joint operation launched by Handwara Police and the Naugam Brigade of the Indian Army.
The operation, based on specific intelligence input, was conducted in the dense Neeriyan Forest area along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowgam sector.
A police official told Rising Kashmir that the joint team acted swiftly after receiving actionable intelligence about a suspected terrorist hideout in the forested belt.
