Jaxson Dart , the Giants ’ prized rookie quarterback, will miss a second straight game Sunday in Detroit.
Interim head coach Mike Kafka said before Friday’s practice that Dart remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol .
So it’ll be Jameis Winston starting yet again, with Russell Wilson backing him up.
Dart sustained a concussion two games ago in Chicago, and Wilson replaced him.
Then — after the Giants fired coach Brian Daboll — Kafka went with Winston, and not Wilson, as Dart’s replacement for last week’s loss to the Packers at home.
The 2-9 Giants have lost five straight games. They are 0-1 under Kafka. Their next game after Sunday in Detroit is a Monday night matchup with the Patriots in New England on Dec. 1. Then comes the Giants’ bye week.
