Pittsburgh Steelers star defensive tackle Cam Heyward was seen in a walking boot on Friday, PennLive’s Nick Farabaugh reported in an article the same day.

Farabaugh followed up the report with another, saying sources said Heyward will play on Sunday and the walking boot was just the team “being smart.”

Heyward has been listed as a “did not participate” in every practice this week, but the team’s injury report said both instances were a rest day.

The team hasn’t made any mention of a game status for Heyward.

Heyward, in his 15th NFL season, has 1.5 sacks and 41 combined tackles so far this year. In 2024, he was named a first-team All-Pro.
