Kevin Koe has been there before.
That was back in 2018 at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympiad.
He also has been to Cortina d’Ampezzo, where he won the world curling championship in 2010.
The Calgarian would now like to merge the two experiences to forge gold-medal glory at the Olympics in the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games in February.
But that means claiming Canada’s colours first by topping the competition at the 2026 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials, which open Saturday in Halifax (1 p.m. ET).
“I’m a bit of a realist, and I don’t think that’s realistic, to be honest,” a candid Koe said when asked if he expects to be in Italy for what would likely to be his final Olympics.
“I mean, it’s hard,” Koe continued. “Obviously, there’s so many good teams and we had a terrible year last year.”
