LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Laurel County woman is facing charges after deputies say she falsely reported a stabbing, triggering a large emergency response early Friday morning, according to a social media post from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff John Root said deputies, Kentucky State Police, and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County were sent to a home off Walnut Road around 1 a.m. on Nov. 21 after a 911 caller claimed someone had been stabbed. The location is about eight miles southeast of London.
According to the sheriff’s office, when first responders arrived, they interviewed two men at the home and determined no stabbing had occurred. Investigators say a woman who had already left the scene on foot was later identi
